KIERON BOOTHE ATTACK

Raised in Newham, East London, with family ties in Jamaica, Kieron Boothe started rapping at the young age of 11. He's also an illustrator and designer, as well as being a member of the London based collective The Suave Society. Keiron has just released a new EP titled The Stoned Age II, his sound rooted in jazz and soul as much as it's inspired by newer styles. 'Attack' is the third track on the record, infused with saxophone by Taurean John Antoine-Chagar and sharp production by KYL. The sung chorus is incredibly catchy, 'I take the good with bad...I put the pen to the pad', and Keiron's rap is both vivid and revealing, 'I remember I was insecure now I'm just who I'm meant to be'. The Stoned Age II is out now via Metling Pot Music. -Ellie Rose-Davies
